The Hive

This week honeybees will swarm as The Robin Collective (a gang of Bompas & Parr protégées) opens The Hive, a pop-up bazaar, cafe and shop to raise awareness of the decline of the honeybee.

The Robin Collective has transformed a derelict shop in Farringdon into a honeycomb of delights with flowering plants, grass, artificial sunshine (using SAD lamps) and a walk-in bee hive in which experimental food will be served (Royal Jelly jellies, Bee Venom cocktails, Well’s Waggle Dance honey-based ale etc.).Workshops take place throughout the week (honeytasting; make your own beeswax lip balm); entry is free and open to all ages. There’s already quite a buzz about it, so get down there fast.

For info, see The Hive listing.
