Richard III plays at Tower of London

Tickets to the Old Vic’s upcoming Kevin Spacey/Sam Mendes production of Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’ may be selling like hotcakes but we suspect both would give up their kingdoms to be able to stage the play in the Tower of London, the (alleged) scene of King Richard’s most infamous murders. That’s exactly what director Neil Sheppeck’s Love&Madness ensemble has pulled off, with a very limited, site-specific revival of their production that was so warmly received at Riverside Studios last year. It comes to the Tower for 2 performances only, on April 1-2.
