Hackney Hear raises funds for Olympic audio tours
Hackney Hear is a new app which takes visitors on an audio tour of the Olympic borough. Via GPS, a walker’s movements trigger over 400 related stories, facts and poems alongside interviews with famous children of the area like Lord Sugar and Michael Rosen plus local musician, writers, hairdressers – anyone with a story to tell. The free app launches in January 2012; funds are being raised now by its creators in order to get recordings underway. Donate £6 or more and you’ll be credited as a co-producer of the groundbreaking project. In doing so, you’ll also help regenerate a precious part of London – long after the games have gone.
For info, see hackneyhear.com. Donate funds to the project here.
