In anticipation of The Airborne Toxic Event’s 5-night residency in London, guitarist Steven Chen has provided us with an inside guide to the band’s recommended hangouts near each of the venues they’ll be playing. Stalkers take note.

Toasted (best coffee) near Dublin Castle
“Literally next door, this cosy lounge has tasty cappuccinos. I wandered in one day during our residency back in 2008, met the friendly staff and stayed for 6 hours.”

Lock Tavern (best bar) near Barfly
“Among our favourite places to drink in London, this is one of those perfectly designed bars – a pub downstairs and a party upstairs, with a terrace to boot.”

Belgo Central (best restaurant) near KCL SU
“This Belgian spot in Covent Garden is just a short stumble from King’s College and has got some excellent deals depending on what time you get there. Also they have, like, a thousand beers.”

Marathon (best late night snack) near Koko
“One part kebabery and one part speakeasy, this legendary Camden institution of rock and debauchery was introduced to us when we came to London for the very first time. Let’s just say it’s a night we still talk about.”

Even better, the band have supplied us with 10 PAIRS of tickets for their special inaugural invite-only show at a secret London location on April 18.
