Remember back in the day when gig posters were expressions of the band’s creativity instead of just close-up photos of Justin Bieber’s face? Poster Roast does, and it is championing the resurgence of the screen-printed poster, organising shows and gigs to celebrate this lost art. This weekend the artistic collective sets up residence in the Camden Arms Pub (Saturday and Sunday, noon-6pm) exhibiting work from poster artists across the UK with a soundtrack from bands including Great Ancestors, Sauna Youth, Blacklisters and These Monsters. Plus there will be live screen-printing sessions so you can pick up a poster so fresh the ink is still wet. Check their website for other Poster Roast outings over the summer.
