On sale to the general public today, Almeida’s new season proves just how hard this 350 seat theatre can punch. The jewel in the crown: ‘My City’ (Sep 8-Nov 5), Stephen Poliakoff’s first play in 12 years stars Tracy Ullman in her first UK stage appearance in 2 decades. It’s followed by the British premiere of ‘Reasons to be Pretty’ ( Nov 10-Jan 14) by the ever-provocative Neil LaBute, whose ‘In A Forest, Dark and Deep’ is currently playing the West End. Before all that comes the Almeida Festival 2011 (Jul 16-26), featuring ambitious work from Greyscale and Belarus Free Theatre. Book now.
