One of the Southbank Centre’s ‘Festival of Britain’ headliners, Tracey Emin, talks to Time Out about politics, success and death in this week’s issue, out tomorrow. Emin, photographed in her new East London studio complex, talks frankly about her past – as you’d expect for an artist whose work mirrors her life’s ups and downs – and, more surprisingly, her future: ‘This building will be like a museum when I die with everything exactly as I leave it. I don’t have children so I don’t want to do all of this for nothing.’ She has also provided our special cover image, a new neon to coincide with a major retrospective show at the Hayward Gallery, ‘Love Is What You Want’, opening on May 18.
