© Courtesy the Artist and Purdy Hicks Gallery, LondonWe can’t resist the technicolour splendour of Neeta Madahar’s theatrical ‘Flora’ portraits (above and below top) and the mythical magic of Madame Yevonde’s society ‘Godesses’ (below). Madahar has used Yevonde’s 1930’s photographs as inspiration and now the two will be displayed together at PM Gallery & House in Ealing from Friday (to July 3). Both make such striking female portraits, it’s hard to tell that they were created over 70 years apart.

For info, see Madame Yevonde & Neeta Madahar listing.
