At home with Ben Pentreath, interior designer and architect
We met London architect, interior designer and shop owner Ben Pentreath at his Bloomsbury flat. At 35 square metres it’s pea-sized in property terms but rather than keeping it clutter-free, Ben crams his home with colour and clashing pattern, influenced by mid-century British designer David Nightingale Hicks. ‘I did reach a point when I seriously thought about moving,’ he says of the flat’s small proportions, ‘but it’s such a great flat.’ Ben recently opened his own shop nearby; head there for colourful and quirky homewares and accessories.
