Queen Elizabeth Roof Garden Cafe & Bar opens at Southbank
Queen Elizabeth Hall’s rooftop has been re-landscaped by Eden Project – with real lawn, vegetable planters and a wildflower meadow - and thrown open the public for the Festival of Britain. Its new eatery, Queen Elizabeth Roof Garden Café & Bar, is run by caterer Company of Cooks; open daily from 10am-10pm, it offers a range of somewhat generic pastries, cakes, sandwiches and summer cocktails. The view is more spectacular than the food but both make it worth a visit.
