London’s outdoor restaurants and cafes: a round up of the best

© Time OutEating outdoors in London isn’t always a tranquil experience; it can often involve pedestrian overdrive, pigeon invasions and bus fumes – none of which do much to whet the appetite. We select some of the best alfresco spots in the capital where digestion isn’t marred by congestion: these include The Amphitheatre Bar Restaurant & Terrace in the stunning Royal Opera House; Rochelle Canteen in Shoreditch (a fave with hip fashion designers Giles Deacon and Gareth Pugh); Anna Hansen’s Clerkenwell Kitchen (above) with tables on St. John’s Square; and Notting Hill’s cosy rooftop Greek Affair.

For info, see London’s Best Outdoor Dining listing.
