The Meatwagon takes up summer residency at The Rye in Peckham
Meatwagon fans, rejoice: cult hero Yianni has set up a permanent summer spot at The Rye in Peckham. The form is simple: rock up to the van, have a chat about what’s on offer then order and eat in the pub. Yianni is currently experimenting with meat salads layered with deep-fried chicken pieces or smoked beef carpaccio, though nothing beats the trademark Meatwagon burger, built from 28-day dry-aged minced steak and served in a freshly baked sourdough bun. If you can’t make it down to SE15, look out for Meatwagon appearances at small-scale festivals throughout summer.

schmmmyummmmmy.
I am lucky enough to live next door. And we’ve eaten there three times in two weeks! Their burgers are yuuuuuumy!
Only made it to #meateasy just before it shut down, but this is just over the hill from my house. Awesome!
Eaten here twice this weeks. I’m told 2 1/2 burgers in one sitting makes for the ideal meal.
Have you tried that yet Bobby? Me and the missus had two each the other day and couldn’t walk! Looking forward to the return of salads and sides a la the Meateasy. Burger + Slaw + Wings = perfect meal
