Where in London is this?
Think you know London? Every week, we show you a picture of a London location you may recognise. We’ll reveal where this photograph was taken in next week’s magazine and blogpost (clue: the sounds of Puccini, Verdi and Mozart will drift through the gaps of this wall over the summer.) Last week’s location: The brightly coloured column flanks the entrance to Greater London House on Hampstead Road in Mornington Crescent. The art deco building was built as the Carreras Cigarette Factory from 1926-28.
Want to put your knowledge to the test? Our ‘Where in London’ feature has been so popular that we have decided to turn it in to a competition on our Facebook page. Take it up a level by entering with your answer and you could win a prize.
ATTENTION ALL SNAPPERS: we are looking for your secret spots for this ‘Where in London?’ feature. If you know of a corner of London that is unseen, undiscovered and unusual, we’d like to feature it here and in our magazine. We want colourful zoom-ins, architectural close-ups and signature sights that get Londoners guessing (we won’t pay a fee but we will credit all names). Submit possible photos at flickr.com/groups/whereinlondon.
