Urban Physic Garden opens in Southwark with pop-up supper club
The folks behind the Union Street Urban Orchard return this year with the Urban Physic Garden, an oasis of tranquility in Southwark, opening on June 11 (to August 14). Full of healing herbs and medicinal plants divided into different wards (dermatology, psychiatry, cardiology, gastroenterology), this community garden also hosts talks, workshops, artistic happenings and film screenings. In addition, a café and pop-up supper club Rambling Restaurant – set inside a decommissioned ambulance aptly named the ‘rambulance’ – serves a seasonal, homegrown menu.
