Basil’s Beach Bar pops up at The Goring hotel
The Royal Wedding may have come and gone, but fans of Kate and Wills (or rum and Red Stripe for that matter) can still enjoy a drink at Basil’s, The Goring’s homage to the couple’s favourite beach bar in Mustique. Open from Tuesday to Saturday during post-lunch hours, the dinky shack has been knocked up on a pile of imported sand in the hotel’s garden. There are only a handful of no-bookings tables out on the lawn so if you’ve missed out on the plum spots, prop up the bar with a signature cocktail like the rum punch or Mustique mule.
