Time Out weekly music playlist © My Morning JacketThose on Time Out’s music desk get to listen to lots of exclusive tracks before everyone else. Which means they are wise and, like the tunes they choose, well worth listening to. This is what they’ll be blasting out of the stereo this week:

My Morning Jacket’s (above) ‘Our World’: Yes, the Muppets choon – pulled from a forthcoming tribute album that also features Weezer and Andrew Bird – is as sweetly childlike and philosophically lovelorn a treat as you might imagine.’ Sharon O’Connell

‘Can you imagine Panda Bear woozing out on ‘The Graham Norton Show’? It’d never happen! I definitely give late night American talkshows props for their eclectic selection of music guests. Here’s the Animal Collective dude doing his intergalactic electronica with the help of Peter Kember (Spacemen 3) on Jimmy Fallon.’ Kim Tayor BennettToddla’s new LP ‘Watch Me Dance‘ (out Aug 22) may be stacked with Inner City club-soul beats but his new single with long-time collaborator Roots Manuva is a veritable groove explosion of filthy funk-bass and whirring synths.’ Danielle Goldstein

‘‘Bluku Bluku’ by D Double E feat. Dizzee Rascal sees the Boy In Da Corner ride a heavy gnarled beat which proves that when he MCs properly, he’s still the best in the country – bar none. Best line goes to D Double for ‘more gangs than Ross Kemp’. Skip to 3.28 unless you want to hear Westwood pulling it like an overenthusiastic milkmaid.’ Alexi Duggins
