Björk releases new tracks and app from ‘Biophilia’ project

Biophila Bjork Björk has finally unveiled the first recorded fruits of her ‘Biophila’ project. New track ‘Cosmogony’ hits iTunes today, showcasing some of the unusual custom-built instruments cooked up by Ms. Gudsmundsdottir and her good friend and fellow psychonaut Michel Gondry. ‘Biophilia’ itself will take the form of an album, an app and an interactive live show. The ‘mothership’ app which makes sense of the album is also released today, and the ‘protoytype’ of the live show was recently unveiled to general whooping at the Manchester International Festival. The song itself sounds like a showtune version of ‘Human Behaviour’ with a rapidly deflating blow-up brass band tuning up in the background (and we mean that in the nicest possible way).
