Nonclassical’s ‘The Rite of Spring Project’ brings Stravinsky to Peckham multi-storey car park
This Saturday (8-11pm), Peckham’s multi-storey car park plays host to classical club night label Nonclassical’s ‘The Rite of Spring Project’, a unique reworking of composer Igor Stravinsky’s landmark composition. Featuring 102 musicians from Cambridge University New Music Ensemble, the spectacular new take on an established masterpiece aims to thrill the Stravinsky-savvy and inspire a new wave of classical music converts. With support from composing prodigy Kate Whitley and a DJ set from Frank’s Café regular Gabriel Prokofiev, revelers can look forward to an eclectic fusion of old and new.
