Films on Fridges screens movies on disused refrigerators near Olympic Park in Stratford
From Wednesday (to Aug 13), a series of evening screenings (doors open 8pm, screenings at 9pm) of athletic-themed docs and features – including ‘Fire in Babylon‘, ‘Rocky’ ‘Breaking Away’, ‘Slap Shot’ and ‘Escape to Victory plus shorts and other cult classics – takes place in the location of East London’s erstwhile ‘Fridge Mountain’ at Fish Island, a humungous pile of broken fridges that have been moved on by Olympic renovators.
