Alpha-ville International Festival of Post-Digital Culture takes place across east London

Posted at 1:00 pm, July 29, 2011 in Arts & Entertainment

In the grand scheme of things, human evolution has gone a little bit like this: fire, wheel, printing press, electricity, internet, Angry Birds. But what comes next? Alpha-ville International Festival of Post-Digital Culture (Sep 22-25) hopes to answer that question through a weekend of workshops, talks and interactive exhibitions across 6 east London venues. And if all that pondering begins to boggle the mind, kick back and take a break with an array of live music and parties. Highlights include a DJ set from Rough Trade’s Pantha Du Prince, a talk from innovative Japanese filmmaker Keiichi Matsuda, director of ‘Augmented City 3D’ (video below) and a screening of ‘Press Pause Play’, which premiered at this year’s SXSW festival. Book now.
