House of Hackney designs pop-up gin den at Bistrotheque

Design duo House of Hackney (aka Javvy M Royale and Frieda Gormley) have transformed the bar at Bistrotheque into a shimmering gin den festooned with ultra-kitsch furnishings, over-the-top Baroque touches (and lashings of Bombay Sapphire gin branding who sponsor the project). The signature Hackney Empire cocktail – comprising Bombay Sapphire gin, Martini Rosso, cloudy apple juice and pineapple juice – is worth a try. The den remains open for 5 months until New Year’s Eve and is open to all.
