London riots: Art out of anarchy
It is often said that out of difficult periods comes artistic brilliance and we think that the London riots are no exception. As the events unfolded, designers and artists were already producing work to respond to the crisis. Hackney-based graphic designer Nick Scott made these brilliant posters (above/below) which so superbly sum up what many of us were feeling. Nick will be selling his creations from this Monday at blog.narcsville.co.uk (with all proceeds going to help young people in Hackney). Another poster that caught our eye was Neil Walker’s ‘London Please Calm the Fuck Down’ (far below), which also succinctly echoed our thoughts on Tuesday.
Have you seen anything creative coming out of the past week’s events? Let us know below.
