John Cage’s ‘Every Day is a Good Day’ opens at Hayward Project Space

John Cage exhibition at the Hayward Gallery on London's SouthbankThe Hayward Gallery’s touring exhibition of works on paper by avant-garde artist and composer John Cage – famous for his 1952 composition of 4’33” of silence – has finally alighted at the Hayward Project Space, part of the Southbank Centre’s Hayward Gallery (to September 18). The exhibition includes prints, watercolours and drawings made during the final 15 years of his life and in keeping with Cage’s ideas about exhibition display, the works will be selected and hung using a computer-generated, random number programme.
