One to watch: milliner Piers Atkinson
British milliner Piers Atkinson is lesser known than some of his contemporaries like Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones but he is undoubtedly as talented. His designs have been sported by style icons Anna dello Russo, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Paloma Faith and appear in glossy magazines around the world. His new A/W ’11 collection, ‘Paris’, takes inspiration from dark Parisian cafés, showgirls, cabaret and the like and includes pom-pom headbands, satin berets, beanies, skullcaps and balaclavas – some of which are classical wedding attire, others of which are pure theatre.
