Posted at 1:00 pm, August 19, 2011 in Food & Drink

jars of honeyThis Sunday, Royal Festival Hall will be abuzz with all things apiary-related as Capital Bee – which supports community-run beekeeping in the capital – holds an event dedicated to showcasing local honeys and beekeeping know-how, complete with ‘bee-themed’ music. Sample honeys harvested within the M25, from Croydon to Ruislip, Bexley to Tottenham, and take home the honeypot that takes your fancy. Moreover, throughout August a number of London restaurants showcase special dishes featuring urban honey; the nearby Dishoom Chowpatty Beach Bar serves a honey cocktail, while Manson in Fulham offers a London honey and almond sponge. Caffé Caldesi, Roast, Skylon, The Table Café and The Charles Lamb will also participate.
