Exchange clothes and accessories at Mrs. Bear’s Swap Shop in Hackney
In these recessionary times, a little clothes-swapping never goes amiss. Mrs Bear’s Swap Shop takes place today (1-4pm) (and September 17 at the same venue) at The Britannia in Hackney and invites ladies to bring along up to 7 items to swap with fellow traders. Clothing, shoes, hats, bags, belts and scarves are accepted; jewellery, lingerie, swimwear and glasses are not. Items will be colour-graded for fair swaps on arrival and clothing ration books are then handed out with colour-coded coupons. Swap ’til you drop, then stay around for a chat and a cuppa.
