An estimated crowd of 3,000 will be treated to an intimate gig at Prince George’s playing fields in Raynes Park this Saturday as one of the UK’s brightest young pop talents, Tinashe, takes to the stage for Zimfest 2011. Now in its 11th year, the festival is a regular fixture for London’s Zimbabwean and South African population. Other acts include Afro-Pop stars BKay and Kazz, DJs Brandon Block and Dave Smallwood from Ministry of Sound, rockers Kamakaze Test Pilots, Kwaito-House diva Oluhle and Former Miss Zimbabwe turned Neo-Soul songstress Karen ‘Zuwa’ Stally, plus traditional Southern African food, sport, a market and kids’ entertainment. Profits will go to the East Africa Crisis appeal of the British Red Cross.
