London Fields Brewery opens in Hackney with a party for all
London Fields Brewery hosts a Grand Opening this Saturday to Monday (11am-11pm daily) with a celebratory party for all. The local duo behind the first commercial brewery to open in central Hackney since the 19th century have been busy filling tanks, designing labels, experimenting with gravities and hop balances, and bottling their new beers to sate a thirsty local populace. Tastings of the 5 new ales will be accompanied by live jazz, folk and blues, and food – with a wood-fired pizza oven, and a hog roast on Sunday. Available both filtered and unfiltered is Hackney Hopstar, London Fields Bitter, London Fields Session Ale, London Fields Gold and Love Not War – probably the only beer in London made as a reaction to the civil disobediance that affected Hackney earlier this month. You can buy them all to take away too.
