Café Moka opens in New Harringay

Cafe Moka in New HarringayGiven the dearth of dining options in the immediate locale, converting a dry-cleaner on the approach to Harringay rail station into a light and airy café is a smart move. Already popular with commuters and the buggy brigade, the welcoming space (think Habitat in its heyday) boasts an open-plan kitchen, while there’s a tranquil courtyard out back. The ultra-compact menu offers the likes of bruschetta on artisanal soughdough, home-made puds, or pared-down brekkies of scrambled eggs and oven-roasted tomatoes, served up by Moka’s young Mauritian owner, Kevin Vanthem.

For info, see Café Moka listing.
