Borough Market is not short of good snacks but it is short of decent places to stretch your legs and have a good meal that’s in keeping with the surroundings. New brasserie Elliot’s seeks to redress that, with a daily-changing menu of appealing dishes created from ingredients sourced at the market. Proprietors Brett Redman and Rob Green already have a bit of a cult following for their Pavilion Café in Victoria Park, despite it being little more than a neighbourhood caff. Our only gripe? No reservations, which – in the spirit of Borough Market, we suppose – means you have to queue.
