‘Kate’s Crochet Market’ opens at Rebecca Hossack Gallery

Kate's Crochet Market runs until Sept 24th at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery, Charlotte Street

Legendary stitcher Kate Jenkins serves up her knitted treats at ‘Kate’s Crochet Market’ this month (to September 24). The Brighton-based artist’s marvellous 2010 exhibition ‘Come Dine With Kate‘ showcased a yarn-based dinner party (sequinned champagne and all); her new collection is just as genius. Taking a nostalgic look at everyday items from the larders of 1970s Britain, she adds comedy touches with works including Heinz Tomato Stitchup, Wools Sewsages and Pot Needle. All feature in the Happy Shopper – aka Rebecca Hossack Gallery on Charlotte Street.

For info, see cardigan.ltd.uk; for venue, see Rebecca Hossack Gallery listing.
