World renowned dancer and choreographer Akram Khan has revealed to Time Out the inspiration and passion that is driving him forward to an exciting finish line at London 2012. Khan is one of the leading artists involved with the London Festival 2012 and Cultural Olympiad, a huge cultural showcase running alongside the Olympic and Paralympic Games. He’ll be returning to his roots at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, working with post-graduate performance company Verve 12. When asked by Time Out what aspect of his work gets him up each morning, Khan revealed: ‘The fact that I get endless opportunities to dream and then make them come true. Also I get to meet many interesting people from different cultures, background, religion through my work, and then realise that we are all similar, we are all human.’
