100 best comedy movies of all time: Time Out compiles the definitive list

We all have our favourite funny films that can cause tears of laughter by the mere mention of a catchphrase or character. To celebrate these rib-ticklers, Time Out’s film team have enlisted the help of over 200 industry experts from film, TV and comedy including Dan Aykroyd, Richard Curtis, Stephen Merchant, Russell Howard, Jackie Mason, Nicholas Parsons and Tim Key to recommend their comedy classics. They have narrowed them down into a very tidy 100. And boy are they funny.
