In time for London Fashion Week, Time Out’s Food & Drink team has compiled a list of the best cocktail bars in London. If you seek a fashionable sipping point, these are where it’s at. St. Pancras Station’s Booking Office, formerly a gothic showpiece, has been recast as an upmarket bar with a diverse drinks menu. Chinatown hides a French secret with the chic Experimental Cocktail Club on Gerrard Street; for another Oriental gem, hit Hakkasan Mayfair for a Hakkatini or a Pink Mao Mao. If out east, head to Old Street to Worship Street Whistling Shop, a Dickensian drinking den with Victoriana cocktails like the Tin & Jonic and Punch & Judy. Over in Clerkenwell, The Zetter Townhouse has a quirky bar with a real fire and a drinks list from the team at 69 Colebrooke Row, another house of mixology which is always worth a gander.
Several of these have just been shortlisted for Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards 2011: if you like them (and can remember why), let us know by leaving your comments below.
