Harold Tillman © Edward BarberLondon College of Fashion has teamed up with Piccadilly’s ornate Burlington Arcade to celebrate 150 years of the penguin suit with ‘Little Black Jacket’ (to September 22). In the free exhibition, classic versions of the iconic tux as worn by Frank Sinatra and Truman Capote sit alongside re-worked bespoke numbers by LCF students, with black and white portraits of the fashion elite (eg Harold Tillman, above, and Marie Helvin, below) wearing their personal faves. The exhibition then travels to New York’s Tuxedo Historical Society, so catch it quick.
