The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor goes on show at Christie’s
Oh to be Elizabeth Taylor: diamonds as big as eyeballs, purses popping with pearls and a sequinned Versace jacket inspired by your face. The screen icon sure did dazzle wherever she went. A major selection of her sparkling belongings go on display at Christie’s King Street from tomorrow (to Monday) ahead of a major global auction (via LA, Dubai, Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong): fans can gawp at her fantastical bling (including the infamous 33.19 carat ‘Elizabeth Taylor Diamond’), swoon at her show-stopping couture and whoop at her personal collection of Warhols and other works of art. The whole lot will be auctioned off in New York in December: start saving now (or marry a millionaire or eight) if you want to bid.
