Balham’s Bedford plays host to C-Jam on a Tuesday evening, offering a class before the social dancing, with the occasional band. Simon Selmon’s London Swing Dance Society has been teaching the art of swing since 1986 and currently runs Wild Times at Wild Hall. Hit The Book Club Blues on Curtain Road for louche and laidback bluesy moves or jump to boogie woogie at the monthly Gangbusters night at the Lexington, where retro dress is encouraged.
