Hit the bottle with Tim Atkin at Vinoteca
Master of Wine Tim Atkin (there are few better teachers in this country) hosts a new season of evening wine classes at vino-centric Vinoteca from October 3 (for beginners) and 4 (for intermediates). Each course runs for 6 weeks and includes food to accompany the wine explored. The beginner’s course is nice and broad, with different sessions looking at basic reds/whites and the more off-piste varieties; the last class has a nice finish, with rosé, sparkling and sweet wines. The intermediate class – slyly titled ‘Life Beyond Pinot Grigio’ – is more focused, with classes centred around specific wine regions (Burgundy, Rhône, Bordeaux) and ending with a dedicated session on food and wine matching.
