Boom Boom Club London Old Vic Tunnels performers vaudeville burlesqueVenture into an evening of entertainment where everything is so much more than it seems with Boom Boom Club, opening tonight (to Saturday) at The Old Vic Tunnels. Experience the best cabaret performances London has to offer, including burlesque darling Kitty Bang Bang, silent gem of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival The Boy With Tape on His Face and tranny superstar Jonny Woo. Hopefully they’ll get you in the mood for a party as afterwards DJ Makabre Charade and his impressive moustache will be entertaining on the decks.

Makabre Charade

To give us an idea of the way he ticks, Makabre Charade (above) has shared his top London tips:

For dressing up: ‘If I ever found myself locked out of my Tardis of a wardrobe, I would head to eccentric costumers Prangsta in New Cross.’

For clubbing: ‘For anachronastic antics with a bunch of ‘Pith-heads’, I recommend White Mischief. Or, for a more regular dose of extravagance, La Rêve.’

For munching: ‘Nothing sets my tastebuds a-quiver quite like Gallipoli in Upper Street. My inner bohemian feels at home with the decor.’

For listening: ‘My old phonograph has been pumping out the eclectic sounds of Luminescent Orchestrii these past few days…’

For preening: ‘With great moustache comes great responsibility! I work wonders on my whiskers with Bounder wax.’
