Abundance Fruit Day community harvest fair Turnham GreenIt may be looking less like autumn than it should this week, but Mother Nature’s having none of it, and there are plenty of autumnal fruits in season that need to be put to good use. Abundance have collected well over a tonne of fruit that would have gone to waste and turned it into jams, chutneys, juices and anything else you can create from the sweeter side of your five-a-day. You can admire them, buy them and feast on them at their Fruit Day today (11am-3pm) in Turnham Green. Bring your own windfalls for juicing in a giant fruit press – powered by local muscle – or shop for heritage apple saplings, local honey, home-grown herbs and delicious baked goods and preserves.

For info, see Abundance Fruit Day listing.
