National Maritime Museum turns into a grown-up playground this Thursday (6.30-10pm) with its last Sandpit event of the year. Sandpit is a regular playing and playtesting event, where artists, game designers and theatre-makers present new – and brilliant- games for grown-ups. Play French cricket on the surface of the moon, explore an enormous cardboard maze while being chased by a giant kraken and throw cannonballs at your enemies. Less boisterous big kids can try trading and bartering in the Universal Exchange, or perhaps just enjoy a tea party. As playgrounds go, this one’s a winner.
