Apparently everybody who’s anybody knows that ‘in Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it…’. Thankfully Selfridges appear to have missed the memo and have put together the Dead Cool Halloween campaign for those whose costume inspiration is more Morticia Addams than ‘Mean Girls’. Begin at A.F. Vandevorst eerie Smallest Travelling Store in the World’ installation on the second floor which will have you watching your back as you rummage through Bay Garnett’s pop-up thrift store complete homage to dead icons including Coco Chanel, Edie Sedgwick, Janis Joplin and finally swoon over Dr Martens with patent toe caps, exclusive Paige jeans and Ashish’s sequinned skeleton minidress (below).
