Apple days offer cider tasting, harvesting tips and more
How do you like them apples? Now is the season for the pomaceous fruits, and apple fiends around town can try at least one Apple Day celebration: the first is on October 16. Officially established 22 years ago by charity and lobby group Common Ground, the event is celebrated on various days and hosted by a number of venues this month. Check out our list of places in and around London where you can pay praise to the pommes, be it through CAMRA-led cider tastings (cheers), apple harvesting or showing off your knife skills in a ‘longest apple peel’ competition.
