applesHow do you like them apples? Now is the season for the pomaceous fruits, and apple fiends around town can try at least one Apple Day celebration: the first is on October 16. Officially established 22 years ago by charity and lobby group Common Ground, the event is celebrated on various days and hosted by a number of venues this month. Check out our list of places in and around London where you can pay praise to the pommes, be it through CAMRA-led cider tastings (cheers), apple harvesting or showing off your knife skills in a ‘longest apple peel’ competition.

For info, see London’s best apple days listing.
