Social media group Tweat Up is known for organising quirky food events around London. Their fourth knees-up – to be held in the Tramshed, Shoreditch, on Saturday 22 October (noon-10pm) – is going to be a hot one, literally. Competitors will be battling it out to be crowned chilli king (or queen), with the public voting for the best dishes (chilli tasting, 1-4pm). Challengers include The Fat Duck, Lucky Chip, Dock Kitchen and Leon. Milk & Honey will be returning, joining (their Brick Lane branch) Danger of Death, to provide the drinks. There will also be gourmet delights on offer from street food vendors once the chilli has been well and truly judged. Tickets cost £25 per head (including entry, chilli tasting and three drinks).
