The history of alternative comedy according to Doc Brown

Posted at 10:00 am, October 20, 2011 in Arts & Entertainment

Doc BrownWhen hip hop artist-turned-comedian Doc Brown offered to write Time Out an exclusive rap on the history of alternative comedy we said ‘abso-frickin’-lutely’. But he’s even exceeded our sky-high expectations, producing a gem of a track with lyrically intricate, wonderfully witty verses charting the scene’s growth from the Tory-bashing 1980s right through to today’s biggest comedy stars. We liked it so much we just had to make a music video. So, take a little time out and enjoy.

Make sure you read the lyrics too. Doc Brown is performing at the Bloomsbury Theatre on Thursday 20 October, For info, see Doc Brown: Unfamous listing.
