Snap happy with the Street Photographer of the Year Competition
Old school film photographers would most probably be disturbed by the idea that the Big Picture Street Photographer of the Year Competition is made up of entries taken entirely on camera phones, but they can rest assured that the results ain’t half bad. Submissions for the Citizen Journalism Educational Trust (CJET)-run contest came from around the world but the judges (including our very own amazing Picture Editor Allyce Hibbert) managed to whittle it down to twelve photos. The winner will be announced at the end of the month and an exhibition is planned for November.
