Taxidermy & Tea in hackney

It might seem incongruous at first, but then what could be more English than the tweeness of taxidermy and afternoon tea? The two are being brought together by creative events organisers The Robin Collective and Animal Vegetable Mineral, a new boutique food events business. Held at the Tour de Force theatre in Hackney, guests will be treated to a delightful selection of teas from the Rare Tea Company and a rather unusual food line-up: cucumber sandwich punch and Victoria sponge cake to be ‘inhaled’ from balloons. A workshop on taxidermy will be hosted by Amanda’s Autopsies’s eponymous owner, a lass who puts a slightly macabre but always whimsical twist on her animal subjects. Tickets cost £25 per head.
