Is Hoxton Street Market the new Portobello?

Already home to the bustling Spitalfields and Broadway Markets, east London is about to get another fashion injection with the revival of Hoxton Street Market. Hackney Council has seen fit to invest in this neglected east end shopping thoroughfare that dates back to 1687. Once frequented by Shakespeare and Dickens, Hoxton Street is heavily populated by hipsters and the fashion pack are expected to flock to the official market day launch on Saturday 29 October, whether to display their wares or pick up a bargain by The Next Big Thing.
