The Meat Daddy returns – Yianni Papoutsis and his ragtag team of burger flippers, chip fryers and saucy ‘burgerettes’ will be bringing North American flavour to the West End with their first permanent bricks-and-mortars restaurant. Judging from their wildly successful #Meateasy pop-up in a New Cross pub earlier this year, and the bluntness of the name, it’s going to be heavy on the meat, and just as heavy on the booze. An extended menu includes some new additions: ‘dirty’ fried chicken, devilled eggs, ‘kurrywurst’, soft-serve ice cream creations and southern US favourites key lime or coconut cream pies. The official opening is on Friday 11 November, but keep your eyes peeled for a video exclusive from the Time Out team next week.
