The new James Bond movie – ‘Skyfall’ – starts shooting today. Daniel Craig, Sam Mendes, Naomie Harris, Judi Dench and producer Michael Wilson all appeared at a press conference at a London hotel this morning to confirm a few facts about the film. Yes, the 23rd Bond film will be called ‘Skyfall’ (as half the world’s media had already reported). Yes, it will shoot in Britain, Turkey and China (the last of those locations was revealed to Time Out exclusively by Craig back in September). And, yes, the cast will include newcomers to the Bond franchise – Javier Bardem, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw and French actress Berenice Marlohe. Beyond that, the Bond team was keeping tight-lipped about the film, although Craig did suggest he’ll be playing Bond for a while yet: ‘If I could do this for a few more years yet, I’ll be happy.’
